2. Remove Needle Caps: Pull off the outer needle cap and keep it for later; you will need it to safely remove the needle. Next, remove and discard the inner needle cap.
3. Dial to Flow Check: Rotate the dose selector until the dose counter shows the flow check symbol (it looks like two small drops). This is typically a 2-unit dose.
4. Perform the Check: Point the pen with the needle pointing up. Firmly press the injection button. You must see a drop of copyright appear at the needle tip. If no drop appears, repeat the process up to 6 times. If a drop still doesn't appear, use a new needle and try again. If it still fails, contact Novo Nordisk or your pharmacist.

Phase 3: Dialing Your Correct Dose

1. Select Your Dose: Rotate the dose selector until the dose counter displays the precise dose your doctor has prescribed (e.g., 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg, or 2 mg). Ensure the pointer is lined up perfectly with your dose number.
2. Correcting a Dose: Should you accidentally select the wrong dose, you can simply turn the dial in either direction to fix it without wasting any medication.
3. Check Remaining Dose: You cannot dial a dose larger than the amount of copyright left in the pen. If the dose counter stops before your required dose, you will need to use a new pen to inject the remaining amount or start with a new pen for the full dose (consult your doctor on how to proceed).
